Current as of 7/30/2018

The purpose of this group is to create a supportive environment for those that are suffering from Adrenal Fatigue and related issues such as Thyroid disease (hashimoto’s, conversion issues, etc.). We share carefully selected information to help with Adrenal fatigue and associated issues. We are well educated patients sharing information, but are not doctors. The choice of what to do is always yours.
Welcome! This group is run by Jamie and Nicole. Please post your questions in the group if at all possible unless there is a privacy issue or we ask you to message us. You are always welcome to message us if you have concerns about something happening in the group (such as suspected spam).

The companion web site to this group is: https://adrenalfatigueandthyroidcare.com. The companion page is: Adrenal Fatigue and Thyroid Care

We are just asking that when you are looking for help with thyroid and adrenal questions, you please try to keep those in the group. We are both volunteers and this genuinely helps us from getting overwhelmed with private messages. Thank You.

This group shares experience. We try to avoid a focus on strong opinions from any one web site or author. We instead focus on experience. Sharing what we have and have not seen work in the real world.

** Please read this post – it takes under 2 minutes to read in full **

Everyone is welcome to share their experience. The admins are very experienced with thyroid and adrenal information and make a sincere effort to share information on as many posts as possible. The admins take a great deal of pride in ensuring information shared is safe to the very best of our experience.

We want this group to be fun and comfortable, but to manage a busy group and keep everyone safe, we do need some rules. Please take a look at these and let us know if you have questions about what’s okay.

Note: Not following the rules will generally result in a warning and possibly being muted (which is a temporary restriction on posting). Selling or taking advantage of members, will generally result in a ban.

(1) Links to other blogs / groups are generally okay as long as they are not your own site / your content / article. We prefer you not direct people to other groups that cover the same thing as we do here and may remove such links.

Do not post your own blog, group, site, etc. – We know this is sometimes innocent, but too many people use their own blog to sell. Please post directly to the group with information you want to share. This group is not a place to promote your business / group / page in any form.

(2) Comments that are faith / religion oriented are fine as long as they don’t stir conflicts. If you are looking for religious support, you may want to find a group dedicated to your faith. We discourage anything political, but may allow in a limited fashion if is health related, such as insurance coverage issues.

(3) No mlm(multilevel marketing) products are to be sold or discussed in this group. That includes telling a member to pm you for more information about a product. This is a zero tolerance policy and will generally lead to an immediate ban.

(4) No blocking of admins. — Jamie Dolan and Nicole Hightower

(5) We have purposely limited practitioners and doctors in this group. Some respected professionals are here by invitation, those professionals are welcome to share their information and resources. If you joined and are a professional in any way, we ask that you only act as a patient here, unless you a prior have an arrangement with us. Acting as / stating your a medical professional may be grounds for removal at the discress of the admins for the harmony of the group.

(6) Do not post any type of referral link that you profit from in any way, shape or form. This includes GoFundMe type of sites to raise money.

(7) Respect and safety: The admins do our best to point out information we know if problematic or dangerous. In very limited situations, we may shut down or remove posts that contain information we know is dangerous.

(8) Do not discuss obtaining prescription medications without a prescription such as overseas purchases. This is your choice if this is something you want to do, but due to legal issues, we don’t discuss it in this group. State laws vary and this isn’t legal in many areas.

  1. Would like to be retested for the adrenal fatigue but my Dr isn’t in tune with this problem. I know my own body and know when something is off; getting someone to listen is difficult.

    1. June went to my Dr when I had a severe crash. When nothing showed up in the bloodwork he went to the level which I knew he would . You are depressed and anxious. I told him flat out he wasn’t listening. I knew I had to go a different route as this typically will not show up on blood.

  2. I am on compounded thyroid for low thyroid and will be glad to hear about other people’s issues in that regard.

  3. I have hashimoto I’m also perimenapause but every day I wake up with no energy I am extremely fatigue I need help I don’t know what to do anymore

      1. I am 75 years old. I was first diagnosed as hypothyroid when I was 11. My main problems have been misunderstanding and even accusations of addiction, among many other things, almost entirely by family members. Over the years, my supplement dosage has been raised, lowered and changed repeatedly, and my current doctor is mostly concerned about my potassium levels. In the meantime, she has reduced my Synthroid to the point that I don’t know why I’m taking it at all. I’ve had a lifetime of unexplained weight gain and loss, lack of energy, brain fog, sleep problems, you name it. All of it. I was told that I might not be able to have children. I was married off very young, and had 4 babies by the time I was 21, during which time I was denied my med. In this last year, I’ve had hair loss, some amnesia, and am now on med for dementia. 5 years ago I had the good sense to marry the right man, 3rd time around. He is totally supportive and understanding, something I’ve never experienced before. But it’s got to be better than this!

      2. Hi, I answered the first two questions to join and then accidentally submitted forgetting to answer the third question.

  4. I have an appt with a new doctor next week. I’ve been living with extreme fatigue, hair loss, inability to lose weight (60# overweight) and many other issues for over 20 years. Keep getting told my labs are fine. Anyway, I’m asking for a full thyroid panel, liver function panel and testing for SIBO. What tests should I request for Adrenal Fatigue?

  5. Thank you for this group and the add. It is so comforting to have a support group like this where you can share your journey with others who have had many of the same experiences and to be able to do this In a caring and supportive environment. I look forward to continue to learn and educate myself as much as possible on adrenal support and thyroid issues.

  6. I’m anxious to learn from people’s experiences on how to improve our health ,concerning my husband and myself. Thank you

  7. I was in this group on Facebook. I replied to a comment on losing weight. I simply shared what has worked for me in the past and gave the name of the product and details. I do not whatsoever sell this product! It’s just something that has had an extreme effect on me and worked wonders and wanted to share it with the thread. And bam! I was banned and or blocked. That’s crazy! I’ve been struggling with Hashimotos for 5 years. At least a warning would have been ok. I would have listened. Well there go helping one another!

    1. Gwen;

You posted about a MLM product multiple times, which we clearly ask people not to and you also asked people to contact you about this product. 99% of the time we warn someone, but in rare cases when someone shows blatant disregard for our rules, we opt for removal, especially when facebook flags the reports as SPAM.

Out of 26,000 members we have only ever removed about 20 people. It also seems like this would have been more fitting to discuss in private, but since you posted publicly on on web site, I’m responding here.

  8. Sandra, I have what the test called hypothyroidism. I am happy that I can be a part of this group. I look forward to learning what I can from people with the same issues.

    1. You choose to call group members names, which is not welcome in this group, thus you were removed.

  9. Hello, I’m interested in becoming a member of your group but I read in your group’s description that you have specific criteria for coaches wanting to join. Prior to becoming a functional health coach, I struggled with adrenal fatigue, low thyroid function, and didn’t know why. Unfortunately, I did not have significant success with conventional medicine and its why I became a health coach. I am eager to share my knowledge, and expand my understanding by learning from others as well. This helps me in my continuous research to find the links between these symptoms and common stressors. I did send a message to Jaime but I figured I would also send one here just in case messenger sends me to the spam box.
